Please check with Federal Foreign Office and your local embassy embassy if you require a visa for traveling to Germany. If you need to apply for a visa, we can write you a letter of recommendation. For this, you must have either registered for the conference or have a paper accepted at FUSION 2016. Please send us an email containing least the following information

Embassy you are going to request the visa at (this is absolutely necessary for participants who do not live in China and/or request it in a different country).
If the embassy in your country requires us to include additional information (e.g. travel dates), simply tell us what else to include. Please note: We can only write a letter of recommendation and not a legally binding invitation letter. An official invitation would have legal implications that cannot be burdened by the conference committee.
Getting around in Heidelberg
From Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof to the Conference Venue „Kongresshaus Stadthalle Heidelberg“
You can get to the conference venue by bus or taxi in ca 15 minutes (distance approx. 2,5km). The bus lines 31, 32, and 35 directly approach the conference venue (bus stop “Kongresshaus”). A parking garage is available right at the conference venue if you are travelling by car.
Frankfurt Airport (distance approx. 80 km)
By Shuttle Service: Airport Shuttle Service TLS to the Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof
Or Lufthansa Airport Bus, to the Crowne Plaza Hotel Heidelberg City Centre.
Journey time approx. 60 minutes.
By Train:
In the proximity of terminal 1, there is a railroad station where trains of the Deutsche Bahn depart to Mannheim Hauptbahnhof. At Mannheim Hauptbahnhof, you have to change trains to Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof. Possible train connections can be looked up at the Website of the Deutsche Bahn.

Stuttgart Airport (distance approx. 120 km)
By Train:
First use the tram to get to Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof. From the Hauptbahnhof you can take the ICE directly to the Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof. Possible train connections can be looked up at the Website of the Deutsche Bahn.
